About your Portrait Session . . .
We encourage you to wear clothes that you feel comfortable in, and where there is more than one person in the picture, suggest you aim for a look where everybody compliments each other. For example a common feature such as all in denim or similar style of clothing can look great on location. We also suggest that when there are children involved, you may like to bring along a hat or favourite toy especially if it holds special memories.
Approximately 1 to 2 weeks after your portrait session we will arrange a Purchasing Session at the studio. To help make your selection easier, your images are presented as a slide show. This is projected onto the wall so you can clearly see expressions and get a feel for how your pictures will look as a finished wall print presentation. This can take anywhere from 1- 2 hours and we invite partners, parents or grandparents along to choose however please be aware, it can at times get a little tedious for small children.
As we realise there may be times when prints will be ordered for special occasions such as birthday presents, at Christmas and Anniversaries etc, we would like you to be aware that the average print turnaround time for processing and delivery is approximately 4 to 6 weeks from the date of order, and this will vary at times depending on a number of factors such as:
- the quantity and size range ordered
- fine art post production & retouching
- framing and album options
Payment for prints is due at the time of ordering and for your convenience we accept cheques, have all major credit cards and eftpos facilities, as well as offering a lay-by system. Framing is optional and if required we can arrange to have your portraits framed and ready to hang prior to you picking them up. We offer an extensive range of frames and mattes for you to choose from, which will compliment both your portrait images and your home beautifully.
(Please note that if framing is definitely required the turnaround time for final completion will be approximately 7 weeks. Whilst we will always do our best to assist wherever possible when a more urgent turnaround is required, as some areas of processing are out of our direct control it is best to try and allow for a 4-6 week time frame wherever possible for completion to minimise the possibility of disappointments.)
